Paramount (via Total Film) has released the first clip from Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah, which has gotten more than its fair share of press as of late, including a length piece in the pages of the New Yorker, which isn’t yet online for consumption.
The clip features Russell Crowe as Noah, telling his family of the task in front of them and the work to come before the water rises. If anything I guess this gives us some idea of how the dialogue might be treated in the film, but then again we’re talking about a weighty moment where more cliche dialogue is largely the goto, especially considering the explaining is targeted toward the children.
Total Film cleverly titled the clip “The Ark Knight Rises”, give it a watch below.
Noah hits theaters on March 28.
