Jason Bailey for Flavorwire put together a three-minute supercut featuring a look at the early film and television roles for this year’s Oscar nominees. This includes a look at Leonardo DiCaprio on “Roseanne”, Jennifer Lawrence on “Monk”, Julia Roberts on “Miami Vice” and Amy Adams in Psycho Beach Party. It’s a fun look back set to The Beatles, but if I have one complaint, each clip goes by so damned fast I don’t have time to take note of the scene, the actor and the movie or television show before it’s on to the next one.
What the video doesn’t include? Matthew McConaughey‘s appearance on “Unsolved Mysteries”, which “True Detective” director Cary Fukunaga mentioned as a performance that impressed him before casting him on the show.
