What Will Come First, ‘Ghostbusters 3’ or ‘Sin City 3’?

I first wrote about the possibility of a Sin City 2 back in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will finally hit theaters and already director Robert Rodriguez is trying to talk about a Sin City 3.

Interviewed SiriusXM’s “Ron and Fez Show,” Rodriguez said, “[Sin City creator Frank Miller] watched Part 2 [..] last night with me and then at the end he said, he didn’t have any comments, he was very happy with it. And he [..] started telling me how he’s going to do part three. So he’s already there on part three.”

He may be already there, but with all the delays having to do with the sequel I won’t be holding my breath for a third.

Meanwhile, on the heels of the sad and untimely death of Harold Ramis, news of Ghostbusters III is back in the rotation with THR reporting the long-gestating sequel remains on track but will need to be tweaked since Ramis had been scheduled to make a cameo appearance along with the other original Ghostbusters, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

Apparently director Ivan Reitman will be meeting with Sony execs to determine how to move forward as the script written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky will need some changes. I also think they’re going to need to figure out how to convince Murray to be in the film as it always seemed that was a major sticking point.

All things considered, I’m not personally expecting either of these films to ever be made, but then again, I feel the same way about at least half of the films released every year so what do I know?
