Up for grabs at the European Film Market at the Berlin Film Festival is the film Zombeavers, a horror/comedy in which a group of college kids staying at a riverside cabin are menaced by a swarm of deadly zombie beavers. Because… of course.
The film was directed by Jordan Rubin who co-wrote the screenplay with Al and John Kaplan and stars Rex Linn (Cliffhanger), Cortney Palm, Rachel Melvin, Hutch Dano, Jake Weary and a bunch of other people I’ve never heard of.
The likelihood of this making its way into wide release seems slim, but an IFC Midnight or Magnet pick-up doesn’t seem entirely out of the question, especially if the following red band trailer goes viral.
Give it a look for yourself and yes, it’s not safe for work.
