I’ll be seeing American Hustle (Sony; 12/13) tonight and I love when I’m this excited to see a movie. Reactions so far seem to have determined its role at the Oscars will be as a nominee and not a winner, unless Jennifer Lawrence can somehow best Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave) and Oprah Winfrey (Lee Daniels’ The Butler), which seems unlikely to me. But no worries, I’m just looking for the raucous piece of entertainment it appears to be.
Once I’ve seen it I’ll be updating my Oscar predictions after watching Out of the Furnace and Saving Mr. Banks over the weekend, though I do still have The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Lone Survivor later this week.
