So clearly Paramount is ready to roll on the marketing for The Wolf of Wall Street as the first press screenings for the critical one-percenters are expected to begin within the coming week, and after six new pictures and the first clip yesterday, today comes the first official poster for the film featuring a “rockstar” Leonardo DiCaprio as the film’s lead character, Jordan Belfort.
Based on Belfort’s autobiography of the same name and directed by Martin Scorsese, The Wolf of Wall Street centers on Belfort, a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration.
Additional members of the cast include Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Byrne and Ethan Suplee.
