IndiaTimes premiered three new pictures from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (5/2; Sony) and I simply cannot take the one directly above seriously. The two below? Fine, but Spider-Man snatching up a firehose and putting on the fireman’s hat is just downright hilarious. I know, I know… don’t judge it until you see it. Well, I’m seeing it and it looks really, really dumb.
I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t look nearly as silly to me if he wasn’t wearing the helmet. In fact, it probably wouldn’t look silly at all, but with it on… Enough, just enough. Go back to fighting scientists that want to turn everyone into lizards for unknown reasons.
I have to assume the studio chose to release this photo because the Daily Bugle is crashing to the ground in the background, but come on, how soon until this becomes a new Internet meme as people Photoshop a variety of different hats onto Spider-Man? And what aria exactly is Jamie Foxx singing directly below?
