I don’t know how many times I’ve recommended people buy the Alien Anthology on Blu-ray, but it consistently goes on sale at Amazon and it is a truly fantastic set (read my review here) and it’s again on sale today at Amazon for only $19.49 (buy it here). The set, of course, includes Alien, Aliens, Alien3 and Alien Resurrection plus loads of bonus features.

I can’t find anything bad to say about this release. I don’t have a single complaint or concern. Fox has put together an impressive package that will not only stand out on your shelf, but simply shimmers on your screen. I would wager very few people will have the stamina to get through all of the bonus material in the first month of ownership, giving you plenty to come back for when you somehow manage to pull yourself away from the films themselves. I even found myself looking fondly upon Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection and saying to myself, “These films actually aren’t that bad.”

If you don’t own it now, may as well get in on the action as Scott recently told Empire things are still moving along on Prometheus 2 saying, “Prometheus 2 is written… Prometheus was a great experience for me. Chasing number two, we can start evolving the grand idea.”
