UPDATED: Miles Teller Eyed for Mr. Fantastic in ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot

UPDATE: Josh Trank took to Twitter to put a stop to this rumor writing, “[T]he casting rumor floating around today isn’t true…. the end.” The original post follows.

Chronicle director Josh Trank is slated to make his sophomore effort a reboot of Fantastic Four for 20th Century Fox and while the film has a March 6, 2015 release date a cast has yet to be officially assembled. There are, however, rumors Trank will reteam with Chronicle and recent star of Fruitvale Station, Michael B. Jordan, who’s been tipped for the role of the Human Torch while “Girls” star Allison Williams may take on the role of Sue Storm (aka The Invisible Woman). Now The Wrap is reporting Miles Teller who stars in this weekend’s limited opener The Spectacular Now may lead the superhero family as Mr. Fantastic.

None of these rumors have yet been confirmed, but it isn’t as if there are any other contenders at the moment, which would suggest Fox is maybe just waiting to find the right guy to play The Thing and make one big announcement. To that point, who would be a good fit for the big rock monster? Kevin Durand would be my first pick, but not sure if he’s too old for the group they seem to be assembling. Any one else you can think of?
