Disney has released the first official poster for Saving Mr. Banks and it features stars Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson as Walt Disney and P.L. Travers along with the shadows of the fictional characters that have most come to represent them in pop culture.
The story follows Travers as she travels from London to Hollywood while Walt Disney adapts her novel “Mary Poppins” for the big screen.
Joining Hanks and Thompson are Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Ruth Wilson, B.J. Novak, Bradley Whitford, Rachel Griffiths and Kathy Baker and the film is currently slated for a limited December 13 release before going wide the following weekend.
