If you were to ask me what I thought Warner Bros. was trying to say with this new 300: Rise of an Empire Comic Con poster I would say they’re trying to say, “You liked the first 300 so we made another one exactly the same, only this time we added Rise of an Empire to the title.” Familiarity is important in marketing, yes, but at what point do people think to themselves, “Hey, I think I’ve seen that already”?
