DiCaprio and Foxx Back Together for ‘Mean Business’

After co-starring in Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx are reuniting for “Mean Business on North Ganson Street,” an adaptation of S. Craig Zahler‘s upcoming crime novel for Warner Bros.

Jeff Sneider at The Wrap has the story and says the story follows a disgraced detective (DiCaprio) who is sent to Victory, Missouri, where violent crime is skyrocketing. He’s partnered with another detective (Foxx) who was demoted for brutalizing a suspect. When police officers start showing up dead, they get to work on finding the person responsible for declaring open season on Victory’s police department.

Zahler is currently preparing his directorial debut, Bone Tomahawk, a Western starring Kurt Russell and Timothy Olyphant, and will presumably write the script for Mean Business when he’s done so I don’t expect this project to hit the big screen any time soon.
