In an interview with Elle magazine (via Nolan Fans), Casey Affleck reveals he has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan‘s Interstellar. Of course, there is no word on his character, but he will join Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Bill Irwin.
Interstellar involves time travel and alternate dimensions in a story that sees a group of explorers travel through a wormhole. The script is based on scientific theories developed by a Kip Thorne, a theoretical physicist, a gravitational physicist and astrophysicist at Caltech. Like Inception, the story is said to be “complex and multi-layered”.
Affleck reveals he begins work on the Nolan feature in the Fall. He will be seen in Ain’t Them Bodies Saints in August and Out of the Furnace in November.
