James Wan and his screenwriter partner Leigh Whannell love them some creepy dolls. The director even adopted the Twitter name @creepypuppet and beyond their Saw franchise, even Dead Silence centered on creepy ventriloquist dummies going rogue and the first poster for Insidious: Chapter 2 continues the tradition.
The film serves as a sequel to the duo’s low-budget, 2011 surprise hit and reunites the original cast of Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins, following the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.
