‘Disconnect’ and Sail

I saw Disconnect last night and at the beginning the song “Sail” by AWOLNATION plays and, of course, it’s not available on the soundtrack even though I have since learned it was also used in the trailer, which I hadn’t watched until a minute ago. It is, however, available at [amazon asin=”B004PVMFC6″ text=”Amazon”] for [amazon asin=”B004PVMFC6″ text=”$1.19″] if you’re interested.

The song, as it turns out is two-years-old and really the only song like it on the group’s [amazon asin=”B004L35GAQ” text=”Megalithic Symphony”] album and the [amazon asin=”B007Q3VMJW” text=”remix album”] is crap.

I know this kind of music turns some people off, but it’s going into my workout rotation (which is pretty much all I purchase music for anyway) and thought I’d share. As for the film, I’ll have a review of that next week, but suffice to say I found enjoyment in it, particularly in the ending, which really surprised me given it has touches of Crash-like coincidence storytelling, which normally turns me right off.
