Amazon has an excellent sale running today for the Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection Blu-ray box set for only $34.99 and the DVD edition for only $22.49.
The set includes remastered, high-definition versions of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and if you know me or read my 2009 review of this set, you know I’m a big fan of the original series, not so much of “The Next Generation”.
My recommendation, of course, is to go with the Blu-ray set as the DVD isn’t in high-definition and at $35 how can you pass this up if you’ve been interested in buying it? Now’s the time.
