Today Marvel was finally able to release the Blu-ray boxset for what they are calling their “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled” (buy it here). This, of course, is in reference to the films The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk. Phase Two will begin with Iron Man 3 this May followed by Thor: The Dark World this November, Captain America: The Winter Soldier next April, Guardians of the Galaxy next August and then The Avengers 2 in 2015, which will reportedly begin filming in the UK at Pinewood-Shepperton studios early next year.
Now, Marvel has issued the following short teaser to promote and prepare audiences for Phase Two and, most likely, try and get everyone to refer to the upcoming batch of films as Phase Two. Well, job… done, at least as far as I’m concerned.
As far as this video is concerned, it looks like there is some Iron Man 3 footage along with commentary from Marvel’s Kevin Feige and Robert Downey Jr., but not much else beyond that.
