Did you know Fast & Furious 6 is being digitally re-mastered for an IMAX presentation? On top of that, Universal has confirmed Fast & Furious 7 and there are hints there may be a spin-off movie focused on Dwayne Johnson‘s Luke Hobbs character.
Johnson told Empire the goal was to release the spin-off before the seventh films adding, “We continue to build that character and have him take shape. But yes, can’t wait.”
Previous speculation had it that Jason Statham will have a small cameo in Fast 6 and will then play the villain in Fast 7. I wonder if he will also play a role in this proposed spin-off.
Fast & Furious 6 hits theaters on May 24 with the IMAX presentation expected to begin hitting theaters internationally on May 22.
