1.) Horrible Bosses 2 appears to be on the way with Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis ready to return and a whole new set of bosses ready to torment them, which is good because I was afraid they would do something different. Jamie Foxx will apparently also return as murder consultant Motherfucker Jones while Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Aniston may return for cameo appearances. Seth Gordon fresh off his Identity Thief success will once again direct a script from original screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. [THR]

The new Evil Dead remake screened at the SXSW Film Festival over the weekend to positive to mixed reactions, but while on hand producer Bob Tapert cleared up some information regarding recent word from Sam Raimi that he doesn’t understand why fans want more from his Evil Dead franchise, and that he feels pushed into returning. As far as it being Evil Dead 4, Tapert said, “This would be Army Of Darkness 2. Everybody calls it Evil Dead 4, but Army Of Darkness wasn’t called Evil Dead anywhere except by the fans.” Meanwhile, Evil Dead remake helmer Fede Alvarez says an Evil Dead 2 following his latest film is in the works. 3.) Danny Boyle has Trance coming out this month and he recently spoke about what’s next telling The Playlist he still has plans to direct Porno, the sequel to his 1996 adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting should screenwriter John Hodge be able to “produce a decent enough script”. In addition, he’s working on two period pieces likely to come first, one an adaptation of a book he wouldn’t reveal and the other a script from Hodge. Should Porno get made it would likely be released in 2016.
4.) While Michael Bay is working with a predominantly all new cast on Transformers 4, Josh Duhamel has said Bay approached him about returning to play soldier William Lennox. Duhamel told The Hollywood Reporter, “[Michael] said he wants to put me in some place. I don’t know if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he felt obligated or what, but you know what? I got to do three of those. It changed my career, it changed my life getting to be a part of something that big, so I’m grateful for even doing the first three of them.â€
5.) Star Trek Into Darkness producer Bryan Burk talked to Digital Spy about plans for a Star Trek 3 and said, “We’re definitely talking about the next one, but we haven’t talked about a release date. We don’t want to wait four years, the same amount of time between the last one and this one, but it’s going to be a big year to celebrate, hopefully.” When he says “big year” it’s in relation to 2016 being the franchise’s 50th anniversary.
