‘Intouchables’ Star, Omar Sy, Joins ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’

Director Bryan Singer tweeted out news yesterday that Omar Sy, the outstanding co-star in The Intouchables has joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Sy won the Cesar Award for Best Actor in 2012 for his role in The Intouchables and has also starred in Jean-Pierre Jeunet‘s Micmacs and will be seen in Michel Gondry‘s Mood Indigo later this year.

As for his role in Days of Future Past, the character has not yet been revealed, though early fan speculation is that he’ll play a character named Bishop, a member of Xavier’s Security Enforcers (initially called the Xavier School Enforcers), a mutant police force from a dystopian future of the Marvel Universe.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18, 2014.
