If the ending of Skyfall reminded me of anything, it was Straw Dogs as I noted in my review, but a lot of people felt they were watching Bond (Daniel Craig), M (Judi Dench) and Kincade (Albert Finney) in some gritty adaptation of Home Alone. Well, the grit is sort of removed from the scenario as Michael Toomey at Vimeo has taken the time to re-edit the sound mix and take the Skyfall finale and give it a boost of Home Alone.
It’s not necessarily great, but if you hop around a bit I did get some laughs at the effects editing and, if anything, it proves how important the sound mix and design is to a film and how quickly something can go from intense to comical.
