In all its green screen glory and black-and-white, director Robert Rodriguez revealed two pictures of Josh Brolin as Dwight (replacing Clive Owen from the first film) in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Along with his tweets, Rodriguez accompanied the first one saying, “[H]ere’s a quick photo touch up I do to set a tone for the actors. (Probably won’t be raining in final movie).”
The second picture (which you can see below) features Brolin and Rodriguez, which Rodriguez commented on saying, “Have been deep into filming Sin City 2…. Having a BLAST making this movie. Amazing cast, and they’re all doing fantastic work. Here’s bad ass Josh Brolin driving a Rodriguez-mobile. (A green box with a steering wheel bolted on).”
As for that “amazing cast”, along with Brolin the cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnny, Bruce Willis as Hartigan, Jessica Alba as Nancy Callahan, Eva Green as Ava Lord, Jamie Chung as Miho, Alexa Vega, Juno Temple, Mickey Rourke as Marv, Jeremy Piven, Rosario Dawson as Gail, Jaime King as Wendy, Ray Liotta, Michael Madsen as Bob, Christopher Meloni, Dennis Haysbert as Manute, Stacy Keach as Wallenquist.
Here’s the other picture of Brolin working against the green screen.
It’s one of those hot nights, dry and windless. The kind that makes people do sweaty, secret things. Dwight’s (Josh Brolin) thinking of all the ways he’s screwed up and what he’d give for one clear chance to wipe the slate clean, to dig his way out of the numb gray hell that is his life. And he’d give anything. Just to cut loose. Just to feel the fire. One more time. And then Ava calls.
