Kick-Ass 2 is a follow-up to the 2010 film, which featured Aaron Johnson as the titular character and the sequel picks up with Kick-Ass’ bravery inspiring a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by Colonel Stars and Stripes (Carrey). Kick-Ass joins their cause and the following picture is likely their first meeting.
Chloe Moretz is back as Hit Girl and Christopher Mintz-Plasse is back as Red Mist with John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Morris Chestnut, Lindy Booth and Yancy Butler also joining the cast and a cameo from Nicolas Cage rumored. The film hits theaters on June 28.
