Can You Come Up with a Good Tagline for Channing Tatum’s ‘White House Down’ Based On These 6 Pictures

I scaled the image down so you may not be able to read the type in the picture to the right, but here is what it tells us about Roland Emmerich‘s new film White House Down:

Channing Tatum stars as John Cale, a Capitol police officer trying to land a job with the Secret Service to, in part, impress his daughter (Joey King). Right after his interview, the White House falls under siege — and Cale ends up protecting the nation’s most valuable civil servant.

Jamie Foxx plays said “civil servant” and Maggie Gyllenhaal appears to play the person interviewing Tatum for the position and will likely become his girlfriend by the end of the film.

The picture you see to the right and the several below all come from HeyUGuys who scanned them from Entertainment Weekly and to browse through them this is clearly looking like it has a Die Hard vibe and I expect it comes with every intention of being turned into a franchise as I’m sure Columbia would love to have a John McClane of their own and who better than the hottest actor of the moment to play the part?

Along with those mentioned already, the film co-stars Richard Jenkins, James Woods, Jason Clarke, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and Rachelle Lefevre and is set to hit theaters on June 28, 2013. They key here, of course, is that date is two months after Antoine Fuqua‘s Olympus Has Fallen hits theaters starring Gerard Butler in a film about a former Secret Service agent who works to prevent a terrorist attack on the White House. See the difference? One film has a guy who isn’t even a Secret Service agent yet and in the other one it’s a former agent. They are MILES apart.

I don’t know about you, but all my money is on C-Tates and Roland Emmerich as I don’t think Gerard Butler and Fuqua have the juice to beat ’em out.

Take a look at the new pics below and I also want to see who can come up with the best tagline for the film… My choice: He hasn’t been hired yet, but someone has to do the job. Your turn in the comments below.
