‘The Wolverine’ Teaser Poster

The promotional material for anything related to the Wolverine character in the X-Men films is always, always, always the same and once again the teaser poster for The Wolverine mimics the exact same, arms-crossed, blades out pose Hugh Jackman has been doing as the title character since 2000’s X-Men. Oh, except this time, it’s presented as a Japanese painting, which I guess makes it… different?

The teaser poster accompanies today’s Q&A with Jackman and The Wolverine director James Mangold, which I’ve included below as promotion on the film is underway as the July 26, 2013 start date looms far off in the distance.

The Wolverine is a sequel to any and all X-Men stories you’ve seen on the big screen so far and finds Logan (Jackman) in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

Co-starring with Jackman are Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

Check out the poster and Q&A directly below.
