I’m having such a hard time keeping my trolls straight. I keep on thinking of the mindless troll from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and then the troll in the mines from Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and to my recollection neither of those trolls spoke. Now, here in a new TV spot for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the two trolls eye-balling Bilbo (Martin Freeman) in the picture above contemplate chomping on the little hobbit, one of them saying, “Can we cook it?”
And thus was the story of how I learned trolls can talk. Good one right?
