Blood Red and In Pieces, Check Out the New ‘Hitchcock’ Poster

Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder and Strangers on a Train arrived on Blu-ray today for the first time (more on that Hitchcock, based on Stephen Rebello’s 1998 non-fiction book “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho”.

Starring Anthony Hopkins as the iconic director, the film tracks how Hitchcock, at the height of his game, decided to make a ‘lowly’ horror movie. No studio wanted to touch it initially so Hitchcock scrounged for financing by himself. The film will center on the relationship between Hitchcock and his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren).

Directed by Sacha Gervasi, the film will have its world premiere at the 2012 AFI Fest on November 1 before hitting theaters on November 23, and if you missed it, yesterday I posted four new images from the film featuring Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins, Helen Mirren as Reville and Hopkins as Hitch.

Just below is the brand new poster, which also features a look at Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, Toni Collette as Peggy Robertson and Danny Huston as Whitfield Cook. It bears some resemblance to the Czech Republic poster for Psycho as I’ve included above. Give it a look and for more on the film click here, as I suspect the first trailer is just around the corner, click here.
