Two New Posters for Denzel Washington’s ‘Flight’

Flight is a film I’m keeping an eye on as it is set to close the New York Film Festival on October 14 and I’m excited to be seeing it ten loooong days after that ahead of its November 2 release. But before all that, Paramount is getting into marketing mode on both sides of the pond.

Today Empire and HitFix debuted the international and domestic posters for the film respectively and I’m not sure if either of them really do all that much for me, but I hope it’s simply a case of a film that doesn’t need any kind of fancy marketing to sell its worth. After all, people seemed to really dig that trailer, which is enough for me.

Starring Denzel Washington, the film centers on a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash-lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, saving nearly every soul on board. After the crash, the pilot is hailed as a hero, but as more is learned, more questions than answers arise as to who or what was really at fault, and what really happened on that plane?

The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis, making a long overdue return to live action filmmaking, and co-stars Don Cheadle, Brian Geraghty, Kelly Reilly and Bruce Greenwood.

Check out the two posters below and give the trailer a watch above if you haven’t done so already.

Best part about these was the Twitter chat I had with HitFix’s Kris Tapley after seeing his premiere of the domestic version:
