Barbra Streisand‘s own personal publicist or simply someone obsessed with this movie has been spamming my inbox and the comment section around these parts pushing this movie down my throat, which may have contributed to the reason I have no major interest in The Guilt Trip. Then again, it could also be because of the vibe I get from the poster to the right. Either way, this film isn’t a top priority of mine.
Starring Streisand alongside Seth Rogen and directed by Anne Fletcher () the film follows an inventor (Rogen) who invites his mother on a cross-country trip as he tries to sell his new product while also reuniting her with a lost love.
The pic is due to hit theaters on Christmas Day as one of two so-called comedies releasing that day (Ben Stiller’s Parental Guidance being the other) alongside Django Unchained and Les Miserables and only now are we getting our first look at the trailer. Give it a peek below and see what you think.
Am I right to hold little interest in this one or does it look stronger than you (or I) expected?
