‘Lincoln’, ‘Skyfall’ and Reshot ‘Gangster Squad’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2242

Well, speculation over how much editing Steven Spielberg was going to do to Lincoln after the test screening that was reported over the weekend can end. If he did any he must have been really quick because the MPAA doesn’t tend to do quick turnaround ratings and, what do you know, Lincoln received its PG-13 rating today.
If I had a guess, the test screening that was reported was only to gauge audience reaction and help with determining how to market the film as it makes its way to a limited November 9 release.
Also today we have the MPAA rating for the latest James Bond feature Skyfall and a rating for the now-completed Gangster Squad, which underwent reshoots in the aftermath of the Colorado shooting during the opening night of The Dark Knight Rises.
Additionally there’s a rating for the historical epic Emperor, which stars Tommy Lee Jones as Gen. Douglas MacArthur and was picked up by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions out of Toronto as well as an upcoming comedy called Get a Job that appears to star everyone and their mother including Anna Kendrick and Bryan Cranston.
You can click on any of the titles mentioned above for more information, otherwise, here are the latest MPAA ratings from Bulletin #2242.
