First Footage from Park Chan-wook’s ‘Stoker’ Starring Nicole Kidman

Chan-wook Park‘s Stoker has been finished for a long time. It received an MPAA rating way back in April, which led me to believe we may see it in Cannes, then maybe Toronto, but nope, not seeing it until March 1, 2013 as Fox Searchlight has been holding on to it for some reason. But the veil has been lifted slightly as “Entertainment Tonight” featured a first look at the film which stars Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode and Mia Wasikowska.

Written by Wentworth Miller (“Prison Break”), the story centers on the Stoker family, and after India’s (Wasikowska) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him. Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Alden Ehrenreich and Lucas Till co-star.

Unfortunately the first look is loaded with “Entertainment Tonight” voice over, but I suspect I’ll have a full trailer to share any day now, if not later today.
