New Picture of Ben Affleck and Olga Kurylenko in ‘To the Wonder’

This morning’s triple feature began with The Master, continued with The Iceman and ended with The Impossible and while I haven’t even started writing my reviews for any of them just yet, having just returned to my condo, I will say it hasn’t necessarily been a great day at the cinema. That said, I have one more movie tonight, which I will be leaving for in a couple of hours, and based on rumblings regarding that film, things aren’t going to get any better.

Now, tomorrow will hopefully be a different story as the day’s first film is Terrence Malick’s To the Wonder starring Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem, Olga Kurylenko and whomever else wasn’t eventually cut from the final film. With that in mind, a new still from the production has arrived featuring Affleck and Kurylenko. For a greater understanding of what you’re looking at, here’s the official synopsis:

After visiting Mont Saint-Michel — once known in France as the Wonder — at the height of their love, Marina (Olga Kurylenko) and Neil (Ben Affleck) come to Oklahoma, where problems soon arise. Marina makes the acquaintance of a priest and fellow exile (Javier Bardem), who is struggling with his vocation, while Neil renews his ties with a childhood friend, Jane (Rachel McAdams). Written and directed by Terrence Malick, To the Wonder is an exploration of love in its many forms.

To the Wonder is still without a distributor and it played in Venice to largely muted reviews with no one making much fuss. Will tomorrow return similar results?
