Latest MPAA Ratings: BULLETIN NO: 2239

A light MPAA update this week with a new rating for Terrence Malick‘s To the Wonder after the original cut got an R back in April. The curious thing here is the rating stays the same and the reason has only changed slightly with the addition of the word “some”. The note from the MPAA implies it is an edited cut so it wasn’t argued down.

Other than that we have a rating for Stephen Frears‘ poorly received Lay the Favorite, which The Weinstein Co. has shuffled off to their Radius-TWC label and a rating for the West Memphis Three documentary West of Memphis, which will be playing Toronto.

All that’s left now is to scroll on down for the latest MPAA ratings from Bulletin #2239.
