I guess I just need to shut up when it comes to complaining about posters because what’s the use. I disliked the CinemaTeaser) has arrived and it too is terrible, but for a much different reason.
This one does, at least, give off a slightly better indication of what the film is about, but the floating heads of James Gandolfini and Richard Jenkins growing out of Brad Pitt‘s shoulders are silly. You also have to love the attempt to get Ray Liotta in there off in the background.
Nothing will beat the first one, which I guess just wasn’t good enough, though isn’t there a rule that states that you can only have a gun in a poster if it isn’t being pointed directly at the person looking at it? I ask because I always felt this poster for Safe was cutting it close.
Either way, you can check out the new poster below and look for Killing Them Softly in theaters on October 19. You can read my review from Cannes right here and if you haven’t yet seen that first poster, check it out here.
