Fake Scares Confirmed for ‘House at the End of the Street’

Oh man, this movie is going to be so scary! Just check it out, the first clip from House at the End of the Street confirms the film will include fake scares to numb you to the point you forget you came to the theater to actually be engaged in a legitimately scary story.

I don’t get it, have the people that make movies not been paying attention? Haven’t they heard the complaints about movies that only attempt to make you jump through generic loud noises, cats jumping out of nowhere and people playing pranks on their friends by coming up behind them and scaring them?

Any interest I may have otherwise had in this film just went out the window if this is what the folks at Relativity think is the best way to get people in theaters. As if the stupid hastag #HATES wasn’t enough. If you’re going to use one of the “thes” in the acronym you have to use them all! It should be #HATEOTS, but they must have assumed the Officer Training School or Ocean Technology Systems people would have been offended.

Oh, yeah, this one stars Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and it arrives in theaters on September 21.
