9 Great Posters for 9 Not-So-Great Movies (That I Haven’t Seen)

The Savage Bees & Squirm

From the story of Jean Seberg to The Savage Bees, a made-for-TV movie that aired on NBC in 1976 and stars Oscar-winner Ben Johnson (The Last Picture Show) and Michael Parks (Red State). Go figure. The film even won an Emmy for Sound Mixing and you can watch it directly below. In terms of getting its point across this poster succeeds and as far as it’s quality, I don’t know, I think it’s pretty top notch, straight-forward marketing at its best and a poster you’re unlikely to see hanging up in theaters nowadays.

As for Squirm, I have a long attachment to that one and it isn’t that I watched it, but when I was about five-years-old or so, I remember it being on at my aunt’s house and there’s a scene in which the killer worms (yes, killer worms) come out of a shower head on top of an unsuspecting young girl (you can see a little of it in the trailer here). When you’re five that image is burned in your mind and this is one bad film I’ll never forget (even though I never really saw it) and the poster is pretty kick-ass too.
