Disney’s New Animated Short, ‘Paperman’, Revealed in Latest MPAA Ratings
By
Brad Brevet
Included in today’s MPAA bulletin is the rating for a new Walt Disney short called Paperman that I had not heard of before so I did a little snooping and it turns out it’s directed by John Kahrs, an animator who worked on such Disney films as Ratatouille, The Incredibles and Toy Story 2. Kahrs also served as animation supervisor on Tangled and he’s teamed with Tangled animator Patrick Osborne who posted the following on his personal blog on December 29, 2011:
We’re finishing up a rather exciting project at Disney in the next few weeks. It’s been keeping me pretty busy and away from this blog. The short is called Paperman. Directed by John Kahrs, the short will be running the festival circuit next year.
We’re very proud of this one and can’t wait to show the world.
produced by Kristina Reed
animation supervision by myself
art direction by Jeff Turley
Vfx sup. Kyle Odermat
Other than that, there isn’t any additional information that I could find, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it were to be screened in front of Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph on November 2.
Now with that bit of information out of the way, here are the new MPAA ratings for BULLETIN NO: 2209.
