Below is the brand new poster for The Dark Knight Rises and you can get a larger look at the image in the gallery right here.
Warner Bros. began ramping up marketing on the film this past week after sneaking a peek at the six-minute prologue to Los Angeles bloggers and opening up the website Operation Early Bird, which builds on the model Avatar used when it gave fans a chance to sneak select footage from that film early.
The Operation Early Bird site features select theaters around the country where fans will be able to see the prologue footage on December 13, three days before it plays in front of select 70mm IMAX showings of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol on December 16. Several of the screenings are already full, but a few remain so head on over if you’re interested.
As for the poster, it’s directly below and definitely hints at the darkness that will fall when The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012. You can get more on the film and browse my gallery of eight total images right here.
