Focus Features has debuted the trailer for Being Flynn an upcoming dramedy based on Nick Flynn’s memoir “Another Bullshit Night in Suck City” telling the story of a young writer, Nick (Paul Dano), who takes a job at a homeless shelter – where one night he discovers his long-absent father Jonathan (Robert De Niro) seeking a bed.
Directed by Paul Weitz, the film originally went into production under the title Welcome to Suck City and appears to be something closer to Weitz’s About A Boy and In Good Company rather than American Pie and Little Fockers, which is a good thing if you ask me.
Julianne Moore and Olivia Thirlby costar and the film is yet to have an official release date though it’s expected early 2012.
I’ve included the trailer and poster below and, if you like, you can watch the trailer in high definition over at Apple.
