Brand New ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Poster is the Best Yet

Columbia Pictures doesn’t need a naked Rooney Mara to sell David Fincher‘s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Of course, it doesn’t hurt for drumming up some Internet attention, but a poster like this new one that just debuted on Mouth Taped Shut is one I want to hang on my wall right now.

Featuring Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, Rooney Mara as the titular “Girl” and one of the pressed flowers Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer) has been receiving throughout the years, taunting him over the disappearance of his granddaughter Harriet 40 years ago.

I have included this latest piece of art at the bottom of this post, but just below is a thumbnail gallery of all four pieces of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo art to be released so far. Just click on any one of the thumbnails to get started. The film is set to hit theaters on December 21.

Based on Stieg Larsson’s internationally best-selling novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a murder mystery looking as far back as 40 years at the disappearance of Harriet Vanger, a scion of one of Sweden’s wealthiest families. All these years later, her aged uncle continues to seek the truth. He hires Mikael Blomkvist, a crusading journalist recently trapped by a libel conviction, to investigate. He is aided by the pierced and tattooed punk prodigy Lisbeth Salander. Together they tap into a vein of unfathomable iniquity and astonishing corruption.
