Warner Bros. Debuts the First Two ‘J. Edgar’ Posters

Finally it feels like awards season is upon us as the last of the trailers and now the last of the posters are making their way online. Now it’s the first two posters for Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, debuting only eight days before the film has its first public screening at the Carmel Art and Film Festival on October 14.

The posters offer up one look at the film, the latter of which serving as an alternate and more artistic (I guess) design, painting Leonardo DiCaprio as the controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover in red, white and blue. You can check out both posters directly below and browse larger versions in my gallery for the film right here.

J. Edgar is directed by Clint Eastwood from a screenplay by Dustin Lance Black (Milk). The film explores the public and private life of one of the most powerful, controversial and enigmatic figures of the 20th century. As the face of law enforcement in America for almost fifty years, J. Edgar Hoover (DiCaprio) was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life. Armie Hammer, Judi Dench, Ed Westwick, Josh Lucas, Naomi Watts, Stephen Root, Jeffrey Donovan, Miles Fisher and Geoff Pierson co-star.
