Relativity just sent over the above first look at Alice Eve (“Entourage”) in The Raven in which she will play Emily, the fiancee of Edgar Allan Poe (John Cusack) who has been kidnapped by a serial killer on a murder spree that mimics the Poe’s work. Poe teams with Detective Emmett Fields (Luke Evans) in an attempt to solve the case. V for Vendetta helmer James McTeigue directed the film.
Eve has yet to really enjoy a feature breakthrough though I personally enjoyed She’s Out of My League, but after starring as Vince’s wife on “Entourage” she is about to get a career bump in the coming months with a role not only in The Raven, but also as the younger version of Emma Thompson’s Agent Oh in Men In Black III, which was recently confirmed for a 3D release on May 25, 2012.
She was also among the candidates for the female lead in Captain America: The First Avenger and was in talks to play the telepathic Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class. Hayley Atwell got the role in Captain and the role of Emma Frost went to January Jones.
