When you think about all the things to come out of Hollywood there are plenty of bad ideas. Around every corner you see a new one and today reveals yet one more as it appears the Nikes worn by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future Part II have become a reality as Back to the Future trilogy producer Frank Marshall tweeted earlier today saying, “Something big is coming soon. Can’t say anything yet. No one should know too much about their own destiny. #BTTF” and soon followed that up with a link to the video at the bottom of this post featuring several racks of shoes similar to those worn by Marty McFly in the 1989 feature.
So I guess, in this case 2015 comes a few years early as the shoe dubbed the Nike Air Mag will soon become a reality. Yes, you will now be able to purchase a pair of auto-lacing shoes you can tuck your jeans into and will go half-way up your calf. I can’t imagine anything better.
According to a post at Nice Kicks we should expect an official announcement by tomorrow, but I think the video below is more than enough evidence of what is to come.
Personally, I wouldn’t dream of wearing these shoes, and I really can’t wait to hear what the price tag is going to be.
