Watch the First Trailer for Roman Polanksi’s ‘Carnage’

The international trailer for Roman Polanski‘s Carnage starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly has arrived in advance of the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival and it’s all I can do to not watch this one. There is a certain style of shooting and form of line delivery I am expecting from this film and I don’t want to have it ruined by watching the trailer. If it’s not what I am expecting I want to find out when the film starts and I am firmly planted in my seat in the theater. At that point I’ll let it work it’s magic on me.

The film is based on Yasmina Reza’s Tony Award-winning drama, and set in contemporary Brooklyn, New York. The story centers on two pairs of parents one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park, who meet to discuss the matter in a civilized manner. However, as the evening goes on, the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into chaos.

You can watch the trailer directly below and I have added a gallery of stills which you can browse right here.

Carnage hits theaters on December 16.
