Box-Office Oracle: ‘The Help’ Predicted to Take Down ‘Fright Night’ and ‘Conan’ for the Weekend Win

The good news? It’s going to be very close throughout the top ten. The bad news? It doesn’t look likely that a film will even crack $20m this weekend. We’re essentially predicting the leftovers vs. the holdovers. Still, let’s break it down!
Laremy predicted the #1 movie correctly 3 Weeks In A Row
I’m only dipping it 44 percent, but that will be enough to stave off the three-peat. The only thing to hate on here is that end-credits scene. Those really need to be outlawed.
Prediction: $16.72 million
I don’t think anyone out there is clamoring for this remake. I include people who liked the original in that statement. And in 3D! I’m it seeing tonight, so I’ll hold off further mockery until then.
Prediction: $14.01 million
I’ve read we’re looking at an $80 million budget to bring Robert E. Howard’s Conan to the big screen. Not too bad, but will Lionsgate and Millennium be able to recoup the costs?
Prediction: $13.56 million
I’m not sure which is stranger: the fact it took them eight years to get a franchise with a 7x multiplier going again … or that they bothered at all.
Prediction: $11.53 million
They’ve got to be disappointed given how number four performed.
Prediction: $8.83 million
When are you guys gonna start lining up for the sequel?
Prediction: $7.82 million
It cost five million more than Zombieland to make. It will end up making around $50m less at the box office. Sad times.
Prediction: $7.53 million
Hathaway is known, but I’m not convinced she’s a box-office draw.
Prediction: $6.4 million
I hate to keep banging this drum, but $52m is a lofty budget for a comedy. Like suicidally lofty.
Prediction: $3.78 million

How say you? You could predict damn near anything on top and not get laughed out of the arena this weekend, any and all views will be considered. Predictions away!
