Summit just sent over a batch of nine images — some we’ve seen before, some that are entirely new — from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, which is set to hit theaters on November 18, marking the first stage in the conclusion of the filmed adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga. The above image particularly caught my eye because I don’t think you need to be a fan of the franchise to be curious when it comes to the filming of the sex scene between the vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and the human love of his life, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). In fact, Breaking Dawn has several elements that will be interesting to see and I’m speaking as someone that hasn’t even read the book.
There’s the birth of the baby, Renesmee, which I’ve heard includes Edward performing an emergency C-section with his teeth as well as Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) “imprinting” on the baby, which I guess means more of him being the baby’s protector and friend rather than future lover, but for some reason the creep factor and Lautner’s lack of talent screams at this being a glorious cinematic moment. Add to that the headboard smashing sex Edward and Bella will have and I simply must see Breaking Dawn… Parts 1 and 2.
