The one thing I actually love about this poster is the fact its owned by Gary Oldman. Has he ever been the loan face for a film, let alone a film as stacked with name actors as Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy? Simply fantastic.
As I mentioned in my “Empire has just debuted the first poster for the film which stars Oldman alongside Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds and Benedict Cumberbatch.
Directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In), the film is based on John le Carre’s Cold War spy novel. Set in the 1970s, George Smiley (Oldman), a recently retired MI6 agent, is doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage.
