TheOneRing.net debuted the image you see of Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield from The Hobbit at the bottom of this post over the weekend, but more interesting is the Photoshopped compilation by OneRing reader “Lotroel” of all 13 dwarves from the two films assembled in the image above
Give the above image a click and it will grow into a super-sized pic giving you a much better look at Bombur (Stephen Hunter), Bofur (James Nesbitt), Bifur (William Kircher), Nori (Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown), Dori (Mark Hadlow), Thorin (Richard Armitage), Balin (Ken Stott), Dwalin (Graham McTavish), Oin (John Callen), Gloin (Peter Hambleton), Fili (Dean O’Gorman) and Kili (Aidan Turner). Perhaps what’s most impressive is the way “Lotroel” speculated what the lower half of Thorin’s body would look like based on the half-image you see below.
The first Hobbit film, referred to as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will hit theaters on December 14, 2012 and the second film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is slated for release on December 13, 2013. You can check out all of my coverage of the films right here.
