So the New ‘Spider-Man’ is Really a ‘Teen Wolf’ Remake/Sequel?

Entertainment Weekly has released even more new images from The Amazing Spider-Man and it would appear Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) learns of his super radioactive spider powers by swatting a guy going up for a jumper Teen Wolf style rather than the way Tobey Maguire learned in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man by beating up some poor chump during lunch hour. If you ask me, that scene in Raimi’s Spidey was one of the best of the whole film.

Oh wait, I spoke too soon, apparently he gets to beat up a guy near the lockers after all.

He also needs to eat a lot more now that he has his spider powers.

I swear, I thought that was Ron Eldard.

Dr. Connors… you’re all washed up.

I’m guessing this is the early spidey suit.

The Amazing Spider-Man will be released in 3D on July 3, 2012. The film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
