Mortensen Out of ‘Snow White’ Opening Door for ‘Superman’?

According to Heat Vision, Viggo Mortensen has dropped out of contention to star as the titular huntsman in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman opposite Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart. As Heat Vision’s Borys Kit notes, this could be just a negotiation tactic, but it does come at a curious time when Mortensen was last rumored as a top pick for the General Zod role in Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel.

Latino Review previously spoke with Snyder about the potential of Mortensen being in the film and he said, “Yeah Viggo is not going to be in the movie let’s say that right now. I can clear that up.” Of course, that was said while Mortensen was still expected to star in Snow White. Both films are expected to shoot at the same time for December 2012 releases.
